About the Digital Cadastre Modernisation (DCM) project

The Victorian Government is investing $47 million to upgrade the State’s digital cadastre.

Currently, less than 4 per cent of parcels in Vicmap Property urban and peri-urban areas meet the high spatial accuracy requirements of users. These areas make up 70 per cent of Victoria’s land property parcels.

The DCM project will bring the authoritative map of Victoria’s property boundaries into the digital age, ensuring that one of the state’s most important datasets is accurate, modern and easily accessible.

Spatial Vision is leading the Adjustment Services stage of the DCM project with our dedicated project team and partners Reeds Consulting and Collier Geodetic Solutions.

Our team needs your surveying and cadastral skills in undertaking this adjustment to all land parcels across the State to create an improved cadastre.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Cadastral Adjustment Technician, you’ll use original survey information to analyse and adjust land parcel boundaries across Victoria. You’re a problem solver who enjoys independent work as much as team collaboration.

You’ll join a dynamic and diverse team of surveying and spatial experts with opportunities to develop professionally, learn new skills and celebrate your achievements along the way.

This position is 100% office based – all applicants must have a suitable remote working environment to support our hybrid workplace.

You will ideally have:

1-2 years of experience in cadastral surveying, field or office experience
Experience in creating a chain of survey or searching for survey plans and field notes, including parish plans and charts
Experience with complex problem solving and making decisions considering multiple sources of data
TAFE or Degree level education or equivalent work experience, preferably in surveying, spatial science or related field

What can we offer?

Salary range $65,000 to $75,000

Part Time or Full Time fixed term contract roles until April 2023
