Welcome Stephen Boothroyd – Digital Cadastre Modernisation Team

Spatial Vision welcomes Stephen Boothroyd as our Quality Assurance Manager for the Digital Cadastre Modernisation (DCM) project.

Stephen’s commencement is timely as the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is due to provide its initial quality assessment for Whittlesea, the first complete LGA delivered by Spatial Vision‘s DCM team for the DCM Adjustment Services 2 contract. Stephen’s role will be key in implementing ongoing QA improvements for the adjustment process.

Stephen received his surveyor training in the UK but has spent a large part of his career working overseas, often in the Middle East where he has acted as the Manager of Cadastral and Geodetic Survey to the Kingdom of Bahrain and Head of General Survey for Qatar. Stephen has been responsible for the development of Quality Management Systems in Bahrain as well as several organisations in Australia. As a cadastral surveyor in Australia, he says that he was the “oldest Surveying Graduate to ever commence a Professional Training Agreement in Victoria”.

Stephen says of his appointment at Spatial Vision:

“I am delighted to have been invited by Spatial Vision to join the DCM team as Quality Assurance Manager.  This is a unique project with unique challenges. It is truly inspiring to see how the SV team and their partners at Reeds and Collier Geodetic Services have developed the environment and tools to complete this extremely complex adjustment project.  It is by far the best solution that I have encountered throughout my professional career.”
