Climate Risk Map Takes Out NSW APSEA Award
There was more joy for Spatial Vision at last night’s NSW APSEA Awards, following on from duel success at the recent Victorian event.
Our Spatial Enterprise team won the Community Impact Award for their Climate Risk Map, a project delivered for Climate Council.
Climate Council’s Nathan Hart was thrilled about the recognition.
“The map has been used by over 100,000 people, and the associated report, Uninsurable Nation, has seen over 3,000 unique media mentions. The more people who understand climate change is already impacting our lives and livelihoods, the more chance we’ll have of government policy addressing the scale needed to stop the worst impacts of climate change.”
Held at the Novotel Sydney Central, the Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) celebrate the achievements of top spatial information enterprises and individuals and showcase the finest projects and most significant performance of professionals that the Surveying and Spatial Industry have to offer. Projects and individuals attaining recognition at this premier event are deemed to be truly outstanding achievers and pre-eminent in their field.
Well done to all winners and those who nominated projects that further the spatial industry and make a positive difference.
