Our Climate Action Barometer Survey
In today’s rapidly evolving climate landscape, the need for action is undeniable. Organisations and governments are under growing pressure to develop adaptation and action plans to protect assets, operations, and communities from the increasing risks posed by climate change. However, we understand that amidst economic pressures and competing priorities, addressing climate risks can be a challenge.
We believe this survey and the resulting insight report will help you assess your current climate risk appetite, provide guidance on the necessary focus areas, and help you gain clarity and advocacy across your organisation.

What is the survey about?
Watch our Q&A with Rhiannan Mundana our Climate Specialist and hear more about the thinking behind the Climate Action Barometer.
What will the survey cover?
Our survey focuses on critical areas to gauge your organisation’s climate readiness:
Climate Impact: How has your organisation been already affected by climate-related hazards?
Climate Readiness: Where does your organisation stand in its climate preparedness journey?
Governance: Are your senior leaders engaged in climate strategy and reporting, especially in light of Australia’s upcoming sustainability reporting requirements?
8 Factors of Climate Readiness
The threats associated with climate change are not limited to any particular organisation type, size or geography although these elements will influence the level of risk. There are 8 Factors that are important for a comprehensive approach for preparedness. When assessing your own organisation, establish how ‘mature’ you are for each factor e.g. planning, underway or complete/monitoring. Whilst a set of tasks may be complete, each of these factors will need to be continually updated and monitored.
Why is this important now?
Australia is introducing the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard for climate-related disclosures that will eventually impact organisations with over 100 employees, beginning in 2025. These standards require scenario analysis, helping companies evaluate the resilience of their strategies under different climate change scenarios. Participating in this survey gives you a head start in understanding where your organisation stands and what steps are needed to align with future requirements.
How will the survey results be used?
The survey data will be used to create organisational profiles; classified by industry, size and type (provided the relevant sample size is adequate).
The data collected from individual organisations will be considered as confidential and will not reported outside of the insight report we produce.
Spatial Vision will not share the raw data and responses from participants with other organisations.
This survey is not funded by any other organisation other than Spatial Vision. We are genuinely interested in raising the level of awareness and understanding to enhance the preparedness and sustainability of business operations.
