Spatial Vision – paving the way for positive change

As Spatial Vision acknowledges and celebrates its 25-year milestone, we’re also taking the opportunity to re-position ourselves in the hearts and minds of our existing and future customers, and embrace a new vision, mission and mantra that our staff can rally behind. Cameron Selkrig, CEO of Spatial Vision, explains the intent and purpose behind these impactful propositions.

We envision a thriving planet where positive change and sustainable growth are guided by our dedication and insight.

“The new vision is important to me as it recognises our 25-year commitment to service, but also looks forward with our commitment for the next 25 years,” says CEO Cameron Selkrig. “From our inception, our primary focus has been the promotion of sustainability, environmental stewardship and the efficient use of our natural resources. This will continue as we search for and support those communities that are seeking immediate and lasting impact, and those opportunities where we can make a real tangible difference.”

“At the centre of Spatial Vision are our passionate staff who work closely with our technology and data partners to leverage the latest in earth observation, data analytics, enterprise solutions and the digital modernisation of legacy systems. Our ongoing commitment and investment help customers understand that we are here for the long term.”

We are committed to facilitating sustainable and impactful decision making – providing the knowledge, evidence and tools needed for the responsible management of our natural and built environments.

“Our mission acknowledges the challenge of insufficient data and inadequate tools that inhibit our clients’ ability to make effective and informed decisions. To solve this problem, we are dedicated to delivering solutions that cover the entire solution development process — from the conduct of research, sourcing of high-quality data, initial concept exploration, solving of the immediate problems and enabling long-term impact with off-the-shelf or bespoke applications. One great example is the recent work we did for the Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre, helping people escape domestic violence using spatial data to locate safe accommodation and avoid exposure to potential risky situations. In short, Spatial Vision provide the knowledge and tools that can be integrated into our clients’ daily operations to support decision-making.”

Paving the way for positive change

“By ‘paving the way’ Spatial Vision is conveying to customers and staff that we provide practical and effective solutions that lead to real world improvement. As an example, we are committed to leveraging the collective expertise of Spatial Vision, by getting involved or leading the GIS Water Users Group and Local Government Spatial Reference Group etc. and helping address key issues faced by these and other significant communities.”

“Overall, the tagline reflects Spatial Vision’s commitment to being a valuable partner in driving positive change, ensuring that customers receive the support, and resources, needed to deliver practical outcomes that help address the most significant problems facing our generation and those to come.”
