This site presents selected spatial data outputs depicting the assessed vulnerably of natural assets to climate change. It also contains for a given natural asset, a series of datasets that display interim outputs on which the assessed vulnerably is based.
This includes: the assessed sensitivity, exposure to climate stressors for different years and stressors, potential impact, and assessed adaptive capacity of the asset bsed on current condition.
This Project involves assisting seven Victorian Catchment Management Authorities assess and quantify the likely impact of climate change on a range of natural asset classes and values.
The seven participating Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) are Corangamite, North Central, Wimmera, Mallee, East Gippsland, Port Phillip & Western Port and Glenelg-Hopkins
Six broad categories of natural assets have been evaluated:
- Rivers and Streams
- Soils and Land
- Coasts – Coastal Wetlands, Reefs and Sea Grass
